Water Retaining

Definition EN 934 Part 2:

Admixture which reduce the loss of water by a reduction of bleeding.

Water retaining admixtures can be used to improve the stability of a concrete mix made with poor quality aggregates. By this the separation of water (bleeding) can be reduced and the durability of concrete is increased. The surface quality of architectural concrete can be improved.
