FSHBZ was founded in 1981. During the first years of its existence it started strong activities with a view to improving the quality of concrete admixtures. These efforts led to the publication of recommendations that were later integrated into the national concrete standard specifications.
Subsequently, tasks were undertaken within the European Federation of Concrete Admixtures Associations (EFCA) towards harmonising the quality of concrete admixtures at the European level.
Ecological effects related to the leaching of organic material from concrete demolition material have been investigated. FSHBZ also issues rules for the development of environmentally sound concrete admixtures and introduced the EFCA EQ-Seal in Switzerland in 1995.
FSHBZ members own sales organisations care for good contacts with contractors, civil engineers and architects.
FSHBZ has developed intensive teamworking with national and international committees appointed for the elaboration of European standards, in particular within the task groups of EFCA, and CEN Technical Committees. |
