EFCA has became a member of the INdustry GRoup on European Standardisation Strategy (INGRESS).
The main purpose of INGRESS is:
“to inform European policy makers about industry’s interests and priorities for using harmonised standards in the framework of Regulation EU 1025/2012”
…..by promoting the common interests of industry – based in the EU – in those areas of standardisation policy falling under Regulation 1025/2012 and ensuring that the principle driver of European standardisation should be market relevance.
INGRESS aims
- to keep members informed of EU standardisation policy issues, draft EC requests and plans that may affect the performance of European Standards Organisations
- as a European multi-stakeholder platform to support members’ positions on standardisation policy issues at European level
- to advocate the need for standards to be first and foremost market relevant
